ABOUT THE CALIFORNIA VIRTUAL ACADEMIES: The California Virtual Academies (a network of 9 public charter schools) delivers online/virtual home based instruction to TK-12 students in California. While our schools do offer some scheduling flexibility, students are required to complete approximately 4-6 hours of coursework daily and log attendance. K12, inc. is our curriculum provider. The CAVA Graduation Coach supports the guidance team in ensuring students remain on a path to graduation and follow these students for one year post graduation. They ensure students have all documentation up to date, document college/career readiness, and identify target areas to ensure students are supported to reach college/career readiness goals. HOURS AND SALARY INFORMATION: These are full time positions working Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. $20 per hour As the California Virtual Academies are public charter schools and this is a public school position, these are set contracted hours and you must be available/working during these hours while under contract with California Virtual Academies. You are not allowed to have another job during these contracted hours. Full time employees are offered health, dental, and vision benefits. Benefits information is only given out upon offer. We do provide training for all programs and we have a great staff to serve as your support system. We do participate in CalPERS. Please contact your CalPERS counselor about how employment with the California Virtual Academies may affect your personal PERS account.
Requirements/Experience: • Reside in the state of California • Strong organizational skills • Detail oriented • Able to balance and complete multiple projects • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills • Self-directed but comfortable working as part of a team • Proficient with the school’s graduation requirements • Familiar with reviewing transcripts and grades • Bachelor’s degree or two years’ experience in school counseling preferred REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
