
Director, Special Education Programs at Madera County Superintendent of Schools
Requirements / Qualifications
Under the direction of the Executive Director, Student Programs and Services, administers and supervises the special education programs and is responsible for developing leadership in curriculum planning, programming development, and instructional activities. Develop, plan, organize, control, direct, and evaluate pupil personnel services and special education services for students in Madera County.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: A Master’s Degree or advanced degree from a recognized college or university and a minimum of ten school years of successful full-time service in a certificated position(s), not fewer than five years of which must have been an administrative position within the field of special education. Special education classroom teaching or program experience preferred. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Administrative Services Credential. Valid teaching credential in one or more areas of Special Education or Valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license. Incumbents must be insurable by the liability carrier for the Madera County Superintendent of Schools.
