The Long Beach City College District is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the role of Manager, Campus Facilities. The incumbent is responsible for performing administrative and management level control including resource utilization, deployment, and staffing of the Grounds, Landscape, Irrigation and Athletic Field Maintenance employees. Manages and oversees landscape maintenance activities involved in the beautification of grounds and landscaped areas; coordinates the mowing, edging, trimming and watering of lawns, fields and other turf grounds; oversees planting, cultivation, pruning, fertilization and irrigation functions; directs trimming of trees and the correction of potential tree hazards. Ensures proper operation of the campus-recycling program.

• Salary: MGT RANGE 9: $98,668 - $134,436/ Annually.
• Advanced salary placement: Generally, new employees start at the first step on the salary schedule. Advanced salary placement may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Duties
GENERAL PURPOSE
Under general direction, incumbent is responsible for performing management level activities including planning, organizing, and directing the functions of an assigned Facilities area. Areas assigned to the incumbent may include Maintenance Services and/or Custodial Services and/or Grounds Services. The organization of areas may be amended when deemed necessary to meet the evolving needs of the District, as determined by the Director.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
Education, Training and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field; and five (5) years of experience in facilities, maintenance, and/or landscape with two (2) of those years serving in a supervisory role; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.”
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:
Requires a valid driver's license.
