Job Summary
: The K-12 Principal is responsible for all K-12 educational programs. The K-12 Principal shall provide leadership, guidance, monitoring and support to all instructional staff K-12 in implementing Trona Joint Unified School District initiatives, curriculum, professional learning and instructional improvement programs. This position also includes concurrently serving as the principal of the Elementary, Jr. High/High School and the Continuation School program. The K-12 Principal is under the direction and supervision of the Superintendent who serves as the primary evaluator.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a Master’s degree from an accredited institution and training in the broad aspects of school administration required. Required valid California Credentials: Administrative Services Credential and a Teaching Credential. Required License: Valid California driver’s License. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years successful experience as a public or charter school elementary, middle and/or high school administrator desired. Minimum of at least three (3) years of teaching experience required. Demonstrated background and experience in curriculum, instruction, professional learning, research, and leading change initiatives desired.
