About the School: Irvine Chinese Immersion Academy is the first Public Charter School approved by the Irvine Unified School District. We are the only tuition-free Mandarin dual-immersion program that adapts the progressive immersion model in Orange County, California. Our goal is to prepare students to become global citizens through the development of bilingualism, biliteracy, and cross-cultural competence. We are seeking innovative and experienced educators to join our team! Job Title: English Instructional Aide/ English Small Group Instructor Immediate Supervisor: School Administrator/ Principal/ Office Manager Terms of Employment: Part-time $18~$23 /hour Contract Year: 181 days Primary Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities are working in classroom settings under the direction and supervision of a credentialed teacher to provide instructional assistance to students in a dual immersion classroom. Other job-related duties may be assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
Required Qualifications : Proof of High School Diploma or GED equivalent and completion of two years of higher education studies (48-semester units) OR Possess an Associate of Arts degree, Associate of Science degree, or higher degree. Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students, colleagues, and families.
Preferred Qualifications: - Some experience working with bilingual students and/or families desired - Willingness to assume adjunct duties - Possess humility, a strong work ethic, and a solution-oriented mindset - Flexibility to adapt and change; ability to strive in a fast-paced dynamic working environment - Bilingual not required
