Job Summary

Job Summary

The Counselor (Adult CTE Programs) is responsible for supporting Career Technical Education (CTE) goals, initiatives, pathways, and programs of the North Orange County Regional Occupational Program (NOCROP). The Counselor (Adult CTE Programs) will develop and implement a research and standards-based counseling program focused on student support services which help students create and successfully navigate a career and educational plan. The Counselor (Adult CTE Programs) collaborates with stakeholders to support program activities, goals, objectives, and outcomes while ensuring accountability for program deliverables.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & TRAINING: 1. A valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential or equivalent authorizing counseling service AND a Master's (MA/MS) degree in career development, counseling, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, rehabilitation counseling, marriage and family therapy, marriage, family and child counseling, or social work OR 2. A Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in any of the above AND a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) OR meet the equivalent qualifications established by the District, OR possession of a California Community Colleges Counseling Credential LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: A valid California Class C Driver’s License, the ability to maintain insurability status, and access to personal and reliable transportation are required.
