* * * POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED * * * BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the Director of Elementary Education, the Coordinator of Elementary Education is responsible for administering and coordinating the implementation of the academic programs for all students and subgroups, including implementation and monitoring of them in order to ensure that students have equal access to the core curriculum and achieve high academic standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: . California Administrative Services Credential . Five years of full-time teaching experience in grades K-12 . Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree from and accredited institution . Must meet ESEA Highly Qualified teacher requirements . Experience in analyzing data to develop instructional plans for all students . Knowledge of research implementation of Professional Learning Communities . Strong instructional leadership skills . Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: . Demonstrated ability to lead, collaborate with and motivate schools to improve student achievement . Computer literate . Knowledge of school reform laws, practices, and procedures . Knowledge of Early Childhood Education programs . At least two years of experience in an Administrative or Instructional Lead position . Bilingual, biliterate in Spanish
