Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, this position is responsible for the administration of the district’s mental health services. This position provides clinical supervision, program and staff development and monitors compliance regulations. All work is performed within the limits of licensing and professional standards and adheres to California Education Code and regulations.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Education Required: Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in a related field required; Doctorate desirable. Experience Required: Minimum two (2) years of successful experience in mental health service delivery and administration with specific experience in supervision, program development, management, evaluation, budget, and staff recruitment (required). Two (2) years of experience in private or governmental agency providing direct mental health related services (desired). Valid Administrative Services Credential (required); Eligible to apply for or holds a valid California State Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and/or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Eligible to apply for or holds a valid CA Administrative Services and appropriate teaching and/or other prerequisite certificated credential(s). Valid CA Driver’s License and evidence of insurability; Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance, and negative pre-employment drug screen test/negative TB results.
