About the Employer

We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school. We also offer a home schooling program, adult education courses and other unique programs to fit the needs of all students. Our school district employs approximately 1,100 certificated and nearly 900 classified employees. Antioch Unified School District is centrally located in the East Bay and provides ready access to scenic mountains, waterfronts, wine country, historical sites and the Pacific Ocean. BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS: Under general direction of the Director, Education Services or designee, the Restorative Practice Facilitator is responsible for working with District staff, school site staff, students, and community to support District-wide Restorative Practice Initiatives by coordinating, implementing, and facilitating school-based and community restorative practices to reduce racially disproportionate discipline, and foster safe and supportive school environments. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college-level coursework in related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Two years of direct experience implementing positive behavior intervention in an educational or community setting. Bilingual Spanish/English useful, but not required.

The oral panel will be held on the week of July 24, 2023. A passing score must be achieved on the oral interview exam to be placed on the eligibility list. Final selections will be made from the three highest accepting ranks off the eligibility list.
