The Central Academic Recovery (CAR) Team is seeking a unique individual to work in a collaborative capacity to imagine, design and implement innovative credit recovery opportunities in secondary Mathematics &/or Science. This Teacher on Special Assignment (TSA) position requires flexibility to work remotely, as well as to provide instruction across a minimum of 3 school sites (Castlemont, Fremont & McClymonds). Other teaching responsibilities include teaching credit recovery classes online and in the summer for OUSD's annual CAR Summer HAcK academic recovery program. This TSA position is meant to teach stand alone credit recovery courses in high-needs subjects (i.e. English, Social Science, Science, and/or Math depending on their credential) Instruction could be in small groups or traditionally-sized classes.
