Amazing 5th/6th Grade combo class with 14 5th graders and 15 6th graders AND a full-time Instructional Aide! Position would start January 8, 2024. Mission School is looking for a dynamic, passionate educator who wants to teach at a school that feels like a family! We are a small rural one-school district serving K-8 students. We have supportive parents, staff, and administration to help you ease into a new school and combination class. All combination classrooms have a dedicated Instructional Aide. Combination teachers receive a $2,000 end of year stipend as well. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: -D.O.J. Background Check -Passing of Tuberculosis Screening Education: -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university -An appropriate California teaching credential (Multiple Subject) Experience: -Successful experience teaching in grades K-12 is desired, but also open to a new teacher who wants to grow within an amazing school. Knowledge of: -District and State content standards for students -Effective classroom management techniques -Curriculum, instruction, and assessment processes and how they should operate in an effective school -Applicable sections of State Education Code and other applicable state publications, such as curriculum frameworks -Technology and computer software applications relative to instruction and administration - - - California Standards for the Teaching Profession Ability to: -Stimulate and motivate students to learn. -Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with students, school personnel, parents, co-workers, and the public. -Communicate effectively in the English language both orally and in writing. -Meet schedules and timelines; develop daily and weekly lesson plans. -Work independently with appropriate direction. -Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action. -Learn and use technology and computer software applications as appropriate to the work environment. -Use t
