St. Timothy’s Preschool is a small established community preschool in Mountain View, CA providing care for children from 2 years & 9 months through 5 years old in a mixed age setting. We are a playbased, non-academic, emergent curriculum program with a strong focus on supporting children’s social and emotional growth.

We seek an accredited Assistant Director who has teaching experience in a preschool setting. We are looking for a warm, good natured, enthusiastic and very reliable person who can take an active role in the classroom, working with the director to expand our afternoon program. St. Timothy’s Preschool has been operating Monday through Friday 8am - 3:30pm; in the 2023-24 school year, we are expanding to 5:30pm. The Assistant Director will be expected to work 1pm - 6:00pm, overlapping with the Director and assuming responsibility for supervising teachers and maintaining our program philosophy through the expanded care hours.

The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, be able to multitask and have good interpersonal skills. A love of children and a strong understanding of child-led philosophy are also a must.

This is currently a part-time, hourly position, with the potential to grow into a full-time, salaried position in the near future.
