After School Program Manager

Purpose Statement/Job Definition:

The After School Manager will be responsible for facilitating our AfterStein Program at AEA Elementary School.  After School Manager will be essential to the planning and preparation of the program and will work under the direct supervision of the ELOP Coordinators and Principals.     

Essential Functions:

Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: 

• Checking students in, taking attendance 

• Promptly answer After School cell phone 

• Locating/delivering students to front desk for early pick-up

• Administering basic First Aid  

• Overseeing the entire program 

• Planning activities

• Participating in restorative circles 

Job Requirements: 

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 2-6pm

• Wednesday from 12-6pm

Minimum Qualifications

• DOJ fingerprint clearance through AEA

• TB clearance

• CPR Certified

• Fun attitude and eagerness to help

• Make student based decisions 

• Organizational skills including logistical planning and scheduling 

• Have experience in or working for an after school program, camp or academic setting

• Create a safe and fun environment for students 

Essential physical requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

• Ability to work at a desk, conference table or in meetings of various configurations.

• Ability to stand and circulate for extended periods of time.

• Ability to lift and move and carry objects of up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to see for purposes of reading correspondence, documents and printed matter and observing students.

• Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.

• Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand normal conversation.
