Job Summary

Mechanic PCN# 0030 Under general supervision. Performs a wide variety of mechanical operations: Effects repairs. Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Develops maintenance schedules. Monitors fuel storage systems. Performs diagnosis and repairs and overhauls diesel and gasoline powered buses, passenger vehicles, light and heavy trucks, and other equipment as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

*Must possess certificate with a valid class II or higher license. *An unrestricted California School Bus Driver Certificate is required within one year of employment. (District will provide training if required.)

*High School diploma or equivalent. (required) *One to Five years of experience performing a full range of fleet mechanic work on gasoline/diesel vehicles and/or equipment
