Requirements / Qualifications

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Previous head varsity coaching experience preferred. Preferred, previous successful High school, Collegiate, and Professional coaching experience with successful post-season play. QUALIFICATIONS *Has demonstrated ability to mentor the six core ethical values of "Pursuing Victory with Honor" (trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship). *Proven ability to foster, build positive relationships, and mentor the coaching staff in effort to sustain a successful program. *Foster a desire to promote school spirit and a positive school climate. *Understand the budget and fiscal responsibilities of the entire program. *Build positive relations with staff, students, parents, and media. *Organize the acquisition and inventory of equipment, materials, supplies. *Communicate with staff, students, and parents with character and competence. District employees interested in the “open” position need to submit: • “Letter of Interest” • Portfolio that includes expectations for the assignment • Letters of experience • Resume • Copies of CPR/First Aid Certification

Only accept CPR/First Aid certification courses with either Red Cross or American Heart Association. No online CPR/First Aid Certification will be accepted, required to be a hands-on course. If selected to coach, the following items will be required prior to clearance: 1) TB & Drug Screening - must be completed within 5 business days of the Offer. 2) Fingerprints $69. 3) Unless you hold a valid teaching credential/or 30-Day Substitute Permit, you will need to attain an ASCC through the CTC website $102.50. 4) Attain the "Fundamentals of Coaching Certificate" $50 & "Heat Illness Prevention" through the NFHS website. 5) Valid CPR and First Aid certifications from an American Heart Association or American Red Cross approved course with in-person CPR class are required upon hire. No online certificates will be accepted; however, the "Online+Classroom" type is acceptable where one demonstrates the hands-on skills.
