Job Summary

Job Summary

The Coordinator, Community Schools is responsible for the planning, implementation and management of the Community Schools model in the district. This position will implement systems, procedures, and policies; monitor projects; and maintain program fidelity. Additionally, the Coordinator will seek funding for Community schools sustainability and will monitor student data related to Community Schools services. The position will support a community coalition, using a “whole-child” approach that will pursue partnerships that focus on academics, health and social services, youth and community development and community engagement and will develop systems to connect families with basic resources needed for family stability. They will play a key role in building and maintaining tiered prevention and intervention systems that provide a positive school-wide culture, including youth and family engagement.

Requirements / Qualifications

Completed EdJoin certificated management application, cover letter, resume and 3 letters of reference must be received by the final filing date in order to be considered. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, behavioral sciences, counseling, education or other related fields; or possession of a Pupil Personnel Services Credential or Administrative Services Credential. Experience: Three (3) years of professional experience performing similar functions and duties, preferably in a school or district setting. Experience in implementing elements of the Community schools model in a diverse setting is preferred.

The District will contribute towards health benefits on a prorated basis (based on employee's work year and hours assigned). The benefit package includes options for medical, dental and vision. Medical plan options include Kaiser, Western Health Advantage and Sutter Health Plus. $9,360 per year for Employee-only medical benefit selection. $11,400 per year for Employee+1 or Family medical benefit selection.
