Under the supervision of Career Technical Education and High School Administration, the Public Safety instructor provides rigorous and relevant instruction aligned to industry and state standards in order for all students to graduate with 21st Century college and career ready skills.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: • A valid California Designated Subjects Career Technical Education (CTE) Teaching Credential OR eligibility to obtain a credential based on three (3) years of verifiable work experience in the subject area; in lieu of three (3) years. One year of verifiable work experience WITH the completion of a minimum of 48 semester units of postsecondary education in the related subject area. • Possession of a valid California driver’s license • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree • Passage of CBEST and/or District Proficiency required (To be scheduled if not completed)
