Job Summary

Damien High School seeks a part-time Cinematic Arts / Video Production teacher for the 2023-24 school year. Candidates should have expertise in teaching cinematic arts and video production with knowledge of film history, digital media, and editing software. Teaching sections include Cinematic Arts 1-3 (3 sections total). <b>The ideal candidate will:</b> <li>Cultivate an inclusive, collaborative, and challenging learning environment that reflects Damien’s core values and allows our diverse student body to grow and thrive.</li> <li>Exhibit a passion for content knowledge and implement various pedagogical approaches.</li> <li>Create an environment in the classroom and in all areas of co-curricular responsibility that nurtures the development of the whole student.</li> <li>Show a willingness to engage students to foster a student-centered learning environment.</li> <li>Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop an integrated curriculum and meaningful student learning experiences.</li>

Requirements / Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in cinematic/media arts; teaching credential preferred; teaching experience preferred. Proficiency in the use of technology as it relates to cinematic art, digital media, and video production.
