Summary Description: The Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP) Aide is responsible for working with ELOP Site Lead, Assistant ELOP Lead, teachers, and students to help facilitate learning in the classroom and support extracurricular activities. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with peers, teachers, and students, have a deep commitment to student achievement, and uphold Grow Academy school culture at all times. Duties and Responsibilities will include: Assists and reinforces instruction in the classroom setting Supports students in their development of academic subjects, communication skills, social skills, self-help skills, motor skills and recreational skills Leads one-on-one and/or group homework and literacy activities Performs supervisory duties during recess, lunch, and other times as directed Assists and leads after school programs Assists in developing educational lessons for universal pre-kindergarten through 6th grade students Delivers lessons to large groups of students Actively enforces school behavior policies, mission statement, health and wellness policy Works with students to increase academic and social emotional skills Participates in professional development trainings Supports the general day-to-day activities of the school site, such as student drop-off, pick-up, lunch service, and recess Performs other duties as assigned by the ELOP Site Lead, Assistant ELOP Site Lead, and Administrative Team Must be available for occasional Saturday fields trips Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: High School Diploma required A.A. degree or equivalent preferred Experience working with ELL students a plus Fluency in Spanish preferred Experience working with large groups of children Salary: Grow Public Schools offers competitive compensation based on background and experience
