WELCOME TO SANTA MONICA COLLEGE! Thank you for your interest in joining the SMC team as a Student Services Specialist. These positions perform a variety of complex and specialized technical duties relating to program support, promotion and implementation of student services programs. Incumbents are expected to be specialists in their functional areas. There are currently two Student Services Specialist - Peer Navigator Program & Student Success Team vacancies with the Student Care Team. The Student Care Team provides support to Black and Latinx students by providing resources to help students achieve their academic goals while creating an environment of belonging through equitable practices. Minimum Qualifications Education Requirement: Associate’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college. Experience Requirement: Two years of experience performing technical program support duties in a student services area. Experience with public involvement, promoting student program and student program operations in higher education is highly desirable.
