POSITION DESCRIPTION For nearly 50 years, La Cheim has built a robust continuum of care to help kids and adults. We provide educational and mental health services throughout Alameda and Contra Costa County at our nonpublic schools, community health center, therapeutic behavioral services program and residential treatment center. Under the direction of the Head of Service/Clinical Supervisor and Education Director the School Based Therapist provides individual therapy, group therapy, crisis management and case management services to children and adolescents at La Cheim School. The Clinician works in collaboration with the classroom and school clinicians/case managers, and other program/education support staff to support the overall wellbeing and development of youth. Supervision available by qualified licensed clinical supervisor weekly. Opportunities for 10-15 hours per week, and 20 hours per week opportunities available. Location: El Sobrante/Concord location Schedule: Monday - Friday, up to 20 hours a week. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES Provide weekly individual, group therapy, group psychoeducation/skill building to students/or residents; Provider services in a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate manner consistent with clinical standards; Conduct daily or weekly groups and community meetings as assigned; Establish rapport with students that supports therapeutic relationships; Complete screenings, assessments, and generate treatment plans as part of routine clinical practice. Maintain appropriate clinical records Create and monitor individual treatment plans, and partnership plans with youth, families, clinical supervisor and other youth supports as indicated; Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams; Provide case management for assigned students; Meet established standards of productivity; Monitor and report effects of psychotropic medications under the direction of medical staff; Complete
