Job Summary

Job Summary

The Instruction Aide assists the classroom teacher in the supervision and instruction of students in our grades 1 & 2 combination classroom at Three Rivers Charter School. Duties include preparing materials, supporting students with academic work and behavior, supervising recess and lunch, helping to maintain order and organization in the classroom and other duties as assigned. Approx. 30 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am - 3:00pm, earlier on Fridays. More info about our school community can be found at www.trcschool.org.

Requirements / Qualifications

Knowledge of: -English usage, vocabulary, grammar, spelling, math, reading, handwriting, etc. -Principles of the subject matter of the class to which assigned -Operating modern office equipment and technology required to perform job efficiently and effectively in a safe manner -Employee Handbook -Complete employee training Ability to: -Establish and maintain friendly, cooperative and effective working relationships with all persons contacted in the course of employment including students, staff and families. -Speak clearly and effectively -Work sympathetically and understandingly with students who are having academic or emotional difficulty -Carry out assigned responsibilities delegated by the classroom teacher -Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action -Follow oral and written directions -Use correct English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation -Perform clerical work accurately, including typing of instructional materials and entering student data in the Student Information System -Learn to work with various online educational platforms and tools
