Job Summary
<p><span style="font-weight:900">GENERAL INFORMATION:</span> This position requires the ability to learn and utilize procedures used in payroll processing, benefit management, education accounting and general ledger record keeping. The selected candidate will be trained and become proficient in the use of the organization’s human resources information system and integrated payroll/personnel systems. Requires sufficient human relations and communication skills to convey personal and technical information to all levels of staff, to train payroll and non-payroll staff on payroll procedures, and to facilitate problem resolution. Requires advanced math skills sufficient to perform complex payroll calculations and conversions. Requires reading skills sufficient to read codes, regulations, and tax laws. Requires well-developed writing skills for reports and procedures. It is important that the person in this position has an enthusiastic and positive demeanor; maintains a high level of competence and confidentiality, as well as an ability to work collaboratively with internal and external clients.
