Long Beach Community College District is seeking qualified individuals for an opportunity as Instructional Lab Coordinator. Under direction, coordinates and oversees the day-to-day operations and activities of assigned learning centers and instructional laboratories; provides technical assistance to students performing research and accessing instructional resources; supervises student assistants and work study students; maintains a clean, safe and orderly learning environment; and performs related duties as assigned. We are looking for graduate from a four-year college or university with a major in education or a field relevant to job assignment; and at least one year of instructional support experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in education or a field relevant to job assignment; and at least one year of instructional support experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:A valid California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District's vehicle insurance policy.
Meeting the minimum requirements of the position does not guarantee advancement in the selection process. Candidate qualifications will be assessed to determine those who meet and exceed requirements, and are deemed most competitive amongst the applicant pool to proceed.

Incomplete or late applications will be disqualified from further consideration. Qualified candidates will be notified in writing if they are moving forward in the selection process.

Unofficial transcripts are accepted during this phase. For experience substitution in lieu of education, please make sure to attach a statement clearly outlining how your additional experience covers the education requirement, on a year-for-year basis, and qualifies you to be considered for this position.
• If you participate in and fail any examination segment, you must wait a period of 90 days (~3 months) to test again for the same classification.

An Online Written Test or Oral Panel Interview may be used to assess applicant qualifications. Test parts are determined by the size and competitiveness of the candidate pool.
The qualified candidates will be placed on an unranked list. Seniority points for internal existing LBCC employees and points for Veteran's credit will not be added. The unranked list will be submitted to the hiring authority for consideration.Final interview: TBD
