Salary Schedule 16, Range 31, $371.82 to 474.50. Placement is dependent on experience. Annual stipend pay: Master's $750 or Doctorate $1,250 (Prorated upon hire)

Job Summary

The Butte County Office of Education’s Back 2 Work Department (B2W) is searching for a Statewide Operations Manager to join our team. The B2W Department administers statewide transitional employment and workforce development programs to serve individuals with barriers to employment. B2W has service sites in forty (40) counties throughout the state and annually serves over 5,000 people through our programs, helping people transition back into the workforce and break cycles of poverty. The Statewide Operations Manager will help lead the operations of the B2W department and team statewide. The B2W department is responsible for over 130 transitional work crews through service contracts with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). These work crews perform litter abatement, landscape, and highway beautification projects along the highways for the Caltrans Maintenance department. This position will be responsible for leading the B2W operations team along with the 15-25 subcontractors’ operations team while maintaining strong relationships with Caltrans Maintenance staff throughout the state to ensure contract satisfaction and compliance. We are searching for a candidate that possesses strong customer service skills along with strong operations management skills. This position ideally will be based in Sacramento, with an option for the right candidate to be based in other areas that B2W serves.
