About the Employer
Tri-City Educators UniServ (TCEU) represents two medium sized California Teachers Association (CTA) Chapters, the Downey Education Association (DEA) with 1088 members and the Teachers Association of the Norwalk-La Mirada Area (TANLA) with 995 members. Members are distributed at over fifty school sites in the Downey Unified School District and the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District. Most School sites are within a 15 minute drive of the TCEU office. TCEU is housed in an office that employs a full time Executive Director and also serves as the office for both local chapter presidents.
Requirements / Qualifications
--> AA degree or a high school diploma with 3 years relevant experience. --> Ability to learn and communicate structures, policies and procedures, programs and services. --> Excellent communication skills, oral and written --> Excellent interpersonal skills --> Ability to follow through on work assignments with little supervision --> Ability to operate generally used office machines --> Proficient word processing skills. (Microsoft suites: Word and Excel) --> Proficient financial software skills (Quickbooks) --> Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changes in priorities --> Ability to work well under considerable pressure, respond to emergencies and solve routine office problems independently --> Ability to maintain a clean and orderly office space --> Ability to regularly attend work and be punctual. --> Wellness to obtain additional certifications as provided by the employer, such as a Notary License.
