Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the general direction of an assigned supervisor provide social and emotional services to district Homeless, Foster, English learner/Newcomer and other at-risk students and their families referred for assessment and assistance with the goal of facilitating and promoting appropriate behavioral health and personal growth; support the Director of Behavioral and Mental Health in training and supervising behavioral health and case management interns and/or therapists for the District’s behavioral and Mental Health program; evaluate and formulate department priorities and recommend strategies for effective program operation in support of students and their families.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Master’s degree in Social Work and/or related field. Experience: Three years of therapy experience working with a community service or social work organization involving at-risk children and families, preferably in a supervisory role. Two years of experience providing clinical supervision is preferred. Any combination of training and/or experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities may be considered. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences within the probationary period (6 months). Bilingual Spanish preferred Valid California Class C driver’s license and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s vehicle insurance policy.
