Job Summary

e3 Civic High is seeking a dynamic, caring, and dedicated College and Career Counselor for the 2023-24 school year. Counselors report to the school principal. Job Duties The duties and responsibilities of Counselors are: 1. To provide College and Career counseling to students and families, providing guidance with decisions regarding academic, career, and personal goals. 2. To work cooperatively with parents, teachers, deans, administrators, and psychologists for the benefit of the individual student. 3. To aid pupils to find a course of study directed toward educational progress and to help the individual student to be aware of the course of study he/she must follow in order to fulfill graduation requirements. 4. To assist the administration in the development of the master schedule; create and provide schedules to all students. 5. To manage 504 plans and their development in concert with various stakeholders such as parents and students 6. To report on College and Career Readiness outcomes using data, e.g. Board Reports, LCAP, WASC, etc. 7. To assist students in the transition to post-secondary training or education, including written recommendations, helping in the application process, and disseminating educational and scholarship information. 8. To act as a consultant to the deans and administrators in decisions concerning a student's progress. 9. To recommend special activities involving community resources and agencies, when deemed of value by the counselor for the individual student. 10. To confer with the administration and heads of departments concerning trends in curriculum development. 11. To assist in the recruitment, orientation and registration of students in grades nine through twelve. (See Job Description attachment for more details)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS -Knowledge of California university admission requirements, including A-G -PPS Credential -Experience in an education environment, e.g. K-12 or Higher Education -Experience using G Suite for Education, e.g. Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, Drive -Spanish fluent speaker is preferred but not required
