POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is seeking qualified individuals for a part-time Mental Health Associate position (generally not to exceed 24 hours a week) for the 2023-2024 school year. Under clinical supervision of a Licensed Therapist, this position participates in the delivery of mental health services to students and participates in providing consultative services to District personnel in support of the mental health needs of students in special education programs. Candidates must be available Monday-Friday during school hours and assignments vary according to the site needs. Special Note: This classification is an exempt, at will position and is not part of the classified bargaining unit. Incumbents serving in this position do not qualify for earned vacation leave, holiday pay or step advancement Candidates must have done the following for consideration for the upcoming school year school year (2023-2024): 1. Have completed their master's degree. 2. Have applied for a Registered Associate number. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education: A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Professional Clinical Counselor (PCC), Clinical Social Worker (CSW), or a field related to the knowledge and abilities required of this classification from an institute of higher learning recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation is required. Experience: Two years of professional experience in providing therapeutic mental health services to children and/or adolescents in a school and/or clinical setting, is required. Nine (9) months of providing therapeutic mental health services in a school setting experience is required.

Note: This position is not intended to confer regular employment status. It is designed to provide professional opportunity for incumbents serving in this position (including recent graduates) to apply their knowledge in the field of mental health, and earn supervised post-degree hours to fulfill their mental health licensing requirements. This classification is an exempt, at will position and is not part of the classified bargaining unit. Incumbents serving in this position do not qualify for earned vacation leave, holiday pay or step advancement. Please note that this position is for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.
