Credential Requirements: - Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Credential - CLAD Required Qualifications: - Provides direct instructional services to students identified by the Individualized Education Program Team as needing such instruction. - Identifies and recommends appropriate support services for these students. familiar with behavioral methodologies, PECs and TEACCH philosophy. Desired: - Provides consultation services to regular program teachers in conformance with Individualized Education Plans (IEP's) for students who may participate in ‘mainstreaming’ opportunities with typical peers. - A focus of the SPED program will be directed toward enabling students to function adequately in the least restrictive environment in which they and other students can be successful.
