Job Summary
St Elisabeth is a Catholic faith-based community of learners. The staff of St Elisabeth believes in creating relationships with students and families in order to best serve the students by nurturing relationships with God and empowering learners. The job of CLASSROOM TEACHER is done for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; developing lesson plans and delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, other professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues; and responding to a wide range of inquiries from students' parents or guardians regarding instructional program and student progress. Requirements / Qualifications
Valid Commission on Teacher Credentialing Certificate in K-12 (completed or in progress) • Two or more years of prior teaching experience as a full-time teacher • Strong classroom management skills • Uphold the importance of personal values, moral standards, and integrity by being a role model in the school community • Commitment to professional conduct, team-building, ongoing professional growth • Knowledge of Common Core Standards curriculum

Maintains effective classroom management and cultivates an atmosphere conducive to learning
Confers with principal and staff in the planning and development of curriculum and pedagogy
Actively provides input during teacher collaboration and articulation
Plans instruction and implements content effectively
Organizes and prepares resources for students
Participates in ongoing training and maintains the appropriate Catechist Certification
Incorporates technology into the learning environment within the classroom
Teaches all subjects and assists students as needed
Assess and evaluate students’ work
Identifies student’s areas of need and communicates with parents and staff
Exhibits flexibility in the day-to-day school environment
Communicates professionally and in a timely manner with pastor, principal, colleagues, parents, and students
Supervises and accepts responsibility for the safety and well-being of each child as assigned
Performs additional duties as requested by the principal and leadership team
Participates in ongoing evaluation for accreditation for St Elisabeth School
RECORD KEEPING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains grading records and updates computer grading system at least weekly
Prepares report cards for distribution at the end of each grading period
Records daily attendance of students
Completes all required forms and reports as designated by administration
