THE VACANCY: This recruitment is open and promotional, meaning all are welcome to apply and current employees in permanent positions are eligible to receive seniority credit and promotional placement once passing all exams. There is currently one vacancy located at Estancia High School (8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 10 months per year). All are welcome to apply and, at this time, Females will be certified for the current vacancy. The eligible list for this recruitment will remain active for six (6) months and will be utilized for future openings that may occur during the life of the list. BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, patrol and monitor an assigned District school campus and/or property to maintain order, safety and security; assure student compliance with school and District policies and regulations; oversee and monitor the safety and protection of students, personnel, equipment and property; conduct, oversee and collect information for investigations; enforce school rules and student disciplinary policy; escort and direct authorized visitors and students to various school campus destinations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and sufficient training and experience to demonstrate the knowledge and abilities listed above. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid First Aid/CPR certificate within first six months of employment. Valid California class C driver's license. Completion of State and District mandated training, as required. Some positions may require the ability to speak, read or write in a designated second language.
