Job Summary
DEFINITION Under the direction of the Superintendent or Designee, coordinate and supervise Safety and Security programs and functions affecting the safety, security, and emergency preparedness of District campuses, facilities, students, staff, and visitors. Supervise daily operations and training of Campus Officers and safety personnel. Implements program designated to increase safety and decrease violence.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification/Experience: Five years of experience in law enforcement, incident Command Systems, and confidential investigations Two years successful experience in a supervisory capacity PC 830.1 PC 830.2 Licenses: First Aid and CPR certifications issued by the American Red Cross Valid California Driver’s License (insurability under District’s liability insurance) Authorization to carry a concealed weapon Desired Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in protective/police coursework, administration of justice or a closely related field Other education and/or certificates applicable to the position Experience in safety and security management in an educational setting POST Supervisory/Management Certificate CA SB1626 Certification Spanish bilingual skills
