Requirements / Qualifications
The Baldwin Park Unified School District is recruiting for a School Secretary IV. The immediate vacancy is located at the Baldwin Park Adult and Community Education Department. Under general supervision, acts as secretary and general office assistant to the lead administrator of the adult school education program to assist the director with complex clerical and routine administrative details; performs secretarial and clerical work. The selection process tentatively consists of the District application review, proficiency exams, and interviews. The Human Resources Department will contact all applicants once the selection process has been finalized. IMPORTANT DATES: Emails will be sent to all applicants and only qualified applicants will be given the exam and interview information. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: Graduation from high school or GED is required. Experience: Four (4) years of office and public contact, or secretarial level experience is required. Preferred: * Familiarity with the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the Council on Occupational Education (COE) accreditation process, and course approval. Knowledge in preparing and submitting contracts, board agenda items, maintaining personnel records, IPEDS, I-TRAIN, and Adult Education funding and reporting is highly desirable. * Experience in a public school setting or directly with students is desirable. REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES * Valid California Driver’s License and the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide reliable transportation between job sites is required. * Valid First Aid and CPR certificates are required.
