Academic Evaluations Specialist (Admissions & Records) - Riverside City College Department: Admissions & Records (R) Position Type: Support Staff (Classified / Confidential) Student Position Type Student Employment Location/Department College/Campus: Riverside Physical location of the position: Riverside Employment Type: Full-Time Position Length: 12-month Salary Range: Grade K Salary Amount: $5,534 - $6,738 Salary Type: Monthly Job Description BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the area Administrator, performs tasks related to the evaluation of student academic records as they pertain to college degree and certificate requirements, course prerequisites, and college transfer requirements. PROVIDES WORK OR LEAD DIRECTION TO: Not applicable - no permanent full-time staff to supervise.
Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION:
An associate's degree or 60 units of college coursework from an accredited institution is required. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for one year of full-time experience equaling 30 semester units of college.
EXPERIENCE:
Two years of directly related experience working with academic records in higher education is required.KNOWLEDGE OF:
Knowledge of college academic policies and procedures, including graduation and transfer requirements.
ABILITY TO:
Speak a foreign language is desired; maintain confidential and comprehensive files and records; possess a familiarity with college curriculum; communicate orally and in writing; make sound judgments and decisions; perform mathematical calculations rapidly and accurately; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff, student, faculty and the public.
