Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education, effectively supports the development of individual educational programs and appropriate placement of students with special education needs. Monitors the implementation of special education services and assists in program development. Provides support to staff in the areas of curricula, teaching, methodologies, community resources, and in-service training. Promotes program quality to ensure compliance with legal mandates.

Letter of Introduction Resume Three current Letters of Recommendation Must pass background check TB clearance (dated within 60 days of hire) Valid California Special Education Credential or Pupil Personnel Services Credential Education Specialist Instruction Credential Valid CA Driver's License Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with students with disabilities.

Relates well with administrators, teachers, and parents.
Has knowledge concerning appropriate programming for students in all areas of special education with special expertise in at least one area.
Has current knowledge and expertise in special education laws and procedures.
