Job Summary
The Preschool Program at the New Horizon School, Irvine is now hiring. The Preschool assistant teacher is responsible for the supervision and safety of children, organizing, and maintaining a suitable learning environment, and using an approach in line with ECE and New Horizon policies. Hourly rate: (competitive & based on experience). A minimum of 12 ECE units toward the completion of a Child Development Associate degree. A Preschool Teacher Permit is preferred to cover Extended Care up to 6:00 pm. There is potential to grow your career as a lead teacher within a year. Join the New Horizon Preschool Team!
Requirements / Qualifications
• Official transcripts from accredited college or university showing a minimum of 12 units toward completing an ECE Associate Degree Units or Child Development Permit/CD completed with a grade of “C” or better and meeting California Social Service’s- Childcare Licensing and Regulations. • Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid training through an accredited program. • Pre-employment Health Screening Report within seven (7) days of hire. • Tuberculosis (TB) test with a negative result within one year prior to employment.
