Requirements / Qualifications

The Baldwin Park Unified School District is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supports student behavior as a resource to the school community with regard to identifying, analyzing, understanding and addressing behavior differences as they impact learning. The BCBA will conduct assessments and make recommendations for behavior goals and objectives, behavior plans, behavior interventions, resource coordination, and will provide leadership in the area of expanding support for behavior. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE -Masters’ Degree from an accredited university or college in the field of psychology, counseling or special education. -Certification as Board Certified Behavior Analyst by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. -Experience teaching, counseling or working as a behavior or autism specialist or related field. -Specialized training in managing assertive, aggressive, and/or non-compliant behavior. -Experience writing behavior plans for students with behavior difficulties including students with autism and other disabilities. -Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or similar research-based training. -Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver's License, the availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites. PREFERENCES -Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPS) -Experience in Schools
