Job Summary

Under direction of the Principal, the Assistant Principal will be responsible to lead areas of the school's academic, behavior, intervention, attendance, and extra/co-curricular activities and to provide effective communication for these activities among the Principal, staff, students and community, as assigned; to assume responsibility for operation of the high school in the absence of the Principal.

Requirements / Qualifications

A copy of a current CA Administrative Services Credential must be provided.

Applicants must submit all required documents for an application to be reviewed. Applicants who fail to submit all documents will be screened out during paper screening. Your letter of introduction should include information about your interest in our district and Carmel High School and what you would bring to the organization. You must provide three (3) letters of recommendation which are current (dated within the last 12 months and signed). Internal Candidates are not required to submit Letters of Recommendation.

All complete applications will be paper screened on June 5, 2023. All candidates recommended from paper screening will be scheduled for a 20-minute screening interview. Final candidates will be identified after the screening interviews and scheduled for a Final Panel interview. References may include character references, but should include two references who have direct knowledge of the candidate from a supervisory perspective. The District offers a competitive benefits package and the following stipends are available for individuals with advanced degrees: $2,000 - Master's $5,635 - Doctorate (amounts are annual totals, only one incentive for each degree level) The Governing Board is determined to provide a safe, positive environment where all district employees are assured of full and equal employment access and opportunities, protection from harassment and intimidation, and freedom from any fear of reprisal or retribution for asserting their employment rights in accordance with law. For purposes of this policy, employees include job applicants, interns, volunteers, and persons who contracted with the district to provide services, as applicable.
