Job Summary
Job Summary
The Special Education Preschool Teacher provides individualized education programs to children between the ages of 4 and 5. The teacher is responsible for developing, implementing and relating the daily activities of the children to the core curriculum in an interactive and play based environment. Through continuous collaboration with a variety of individuals and groups, including parents, district and county personnel and various agencies, the Teacher provides for the academic, social and emotional growth of each preschool child by using a variety of instructional and play based strategies. The Teacher continually assesses each student’s progress to maximize their fullest potential. The Special Education PreschoolTeacher is responsible for using a variety of assessment tools, developing and implementing IEPS and transition planning as children move to kindergarten programs.
