Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Expanded Learning ISS, this position is responsible for assisting with the planning, monitoring, directing and supervising of Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs (ELOP) including After School Education and Safety Grant (ASES) at LEUSD Sites, with a focus on children in grades TK – 8th grade in a Before, Gap and After School setting; perform related work as assigned. May provide oversight when Assistant Director or Designee is out of District.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Education Required Graduation from high school or evidence of equivalent educational proficiency is required. An Associate of Arts or Bachelor of Arts degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university is preferred, with major coursework in child/human development and/or education is preferred. Experience Required Minimum three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience leading and/or supervising the work of others in an educational environment; Minimum of five (5) years prior work experience with school aged children, and their families, in a structured setting. Licenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing Required: • Valid CPR/First Aid card for infants and children • Valid CA Driver’s License and evidence of insurability • Department of Justice Fingerprint Clearance, and negative pre-employment drug screen test/negative TB results
