Job Summary
The El Dorado County Office of Education, a recognized leader in providing high-quality alternative educational programs, is looking for a talented administrator to join our team as a part of our charter programs on the Charles Brown Education Center site. Our instructional format is a hybrid-independent study model. Students come to the school site a minimum of two days per week for classes. Teachers provide instruction and materials to students and families through a learning management system to support at-home learning and instruction. Families meet regularly with their supervising teachers who will guide the parents in at-home instruction, assess student progress, and maintain student records.

Our program is looking for an administrator who has the ability to support educators, students, and families in a K-12 environment and assist in providing meaningful classroom and at-home experiences that are motivational and academically rigorous. We are looking for an administrator to support three of the programs on the Charles Brown Campus. • Charter University Prep is a college prep program serving students in grades 7-12. • Charter Connections Academy is a high school diploma program serving students in grades 9-12. • Charter Home Study Academy is a K-8 program serving homeschooling families in a hybrid classroom environment. Characteristics we are looking for: • A team member who can contribute talents, interests, and abilities to our programs. • A person who passionately embraces new ideas, change, and out-of-the-box thinking. We are not a traditional five-day-a-week program. • A person who wants to actively contribute to an environment that is committed to continuous improvement and high-quality service to our students and families. • The ability to quickly connect with students, inspire them, and maintain a culture of learning and mutual respect. • A person who is technologically proficient. Google Classroom, Pathways, and Canvas programs
Job Requirements: - Education: Valid California Administrative Credential; Valid California Teaching Credential; Master’s Degree in education or related field preferred. - Experience Required: Five years of successful teaching or pupil personnel services experience. - Experience Preferred: Three years or more experience at 6-12th grade level; experience with high-risk youth; previous administrative experience. - Possession of a valid California driver’s license, personal vehicle, and evidence of insurability.
