Job Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director, Student Services (or designee), the Coordinator - Mental Health Services will assist in the development, implementation, and supervision of mental health programs and prevention efforts for students, families, and employees in the district. The Coordinator - Mental Health Services is responsible for providing clinical supervision of staff and students, collaborating with community mental health providers, providing program and staff development, and monitoring state and federal compliance and grant requirements (within the limits of licensing and professional standards that adhere to California Education Code and state regulations). .

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master's or Doctorate degree in a psychology, counseling, social work, or closely related field. Experience Required: Minimum three (3) years of experience in the behavioral and mental health support process (direct services, treatment plans, monitoring of progress, determination of eligibility for services, and termination of services), including providing counseling and/or educationally related mental health services (ERMHS) to school-age children; additional experience providing behavioral and mental health support to families and adults preferred. Licenses, Certifications, and/or Testing Required: Valid California Class C driver’s license and evidence of insurability, TB test clearance, pre-employment physical and drug test clearance, Criminal justice fingerprint clearance, licensed by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), an Educational Psychologist (LEP), or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
