About the Employer

The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office acts as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County to help meet the educational needs of all children county-wide. We are committed to working with our school districts, other agencies, families and the community at large by providing services, information and leadership, always with a focus on students.

Requirements / Qualifications

NECESSARY MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION • Completed Ed-Join online Application (incomplete application will not be considered. All fields must be filled in); • Current résumé; • One (1) current (signed and dated within three years) letter of reference; • Applicants must be listed on current OSIII internal eligibility list and attach all necessary materials to online application to qualify as a candidate for interview.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to type at a net corrected speed of 50 words per minute; • Four (4) years clerical experience performing complex and diverse duties; • Completion of 12 semester units in Business Administration or a closely related field. Additional years of clerical experience may be substituted for college coursework. 1 year of experience = 6 semester units 2 years of experience = 12 semester units • One (1) year experience processing financial transactions (i.e., requisitions, invoices, travel forms); • One (1) year experience managing, tracking, inputting, and generating data from various computer applications; • Possession of a high school diploma (or its equivalency) or higher or possession of a GED.
