Grade 4 Teacher must be dynamic, energetic, engaging, compassionate, and passionately committed to the high achievement and authentic Catholic faith formation of every student in 5th grade.
Professional Responsibilities:
• Embody and promote the mission and vision of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School
• Must be well versed in pedagogy and teaching a curriculum around the Common Core State Standards and Diocesan Curriculum Standards.
• Must turn in weekly Lesson Plans
• Embrace the role of lifelong learner and constant professional growth through professional development, self-assessment, and assessment of student learning
• Collaborate well and foster a team atmosphere of professionalism and high standards for student achievement.
• Develop and implement a rigorous, standards-based curriculum through Curriculum Mapping
• Provide high quality, standards-driven instruction
• Actively participate in professional development and seek out opportunities for professional growth
• Effectively manage student achievement data and use data to inform instruction
• Differentiate and individualize instruction and support for students
• Effectively uses technology as an instructional tool to improve student achievement and effectiveness.
• Teach and enforce school-wide culture and expectations
• Communicate regularly with families and implement clear communication systems.
