Job Summary

Job Summary

As a district wide position, under the direction of the Executive Director of Special Services, the primary functions of a Program Specialist are to: fulfill the role of LEA representative at IEP meetings, and interim placements. Provide intervention, consultation, and informational support. Assist with the overall coordination and implementation of Special Education services, including nonpublic agency services, and out-of-district placements. Serve as a liaison between the Executive Director of Special Services and school staff, and outside agencies. Provide information and training regarding implementing and maintaining effective services within established procedures and regulations.

Requirements / Qualifications

Previous experience as a school psychologist, education specialist, speech pathologist, program specialist, or administrator. Valid California PPS Credential or Administrative Services Credential Valid CA Driver's license
