Job Summary
The University of Redlands teacher residency pathway provides aspiring teachers with a high-quality practical teaching experience at Ontario-Montclair School District while working towards a California teaching credential. Teacher Residents are placed in K-8 classrooms at Ontario-Montclair School District and work alongside a Resident Mentor (veteran teacher). Residents are in a K-8 classroom during the day and complete teacher preparation coursework in the evening. Teacher preparation courses are taught at the University of Redlands’ main campus, or regional Riverside or Rancho Cucamonga campus, with some hybrid/online options available. At the conclusion of the 12-to-16-month teacher residency program, Teacher Residents will earn a California teaching credential and have a contingent offer to be a full-time teacher with Ontario-Montclair School District.
