Job Summary
Under the direction of the Principal, instruct special education students individually and in small groups in accordance with VCOE policies and procedures; develop and implement IEP goals, assess students, and coordinate programs to increase independence and functioning in society, socially, vocationally and academically.
Requirements / Qualifications
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Special Education Credential to teach students with moderate to severe disabilities. Appropriate certification for teaching English Language Learners. It is desired that candidates have experience working with children or adolescents with autism and training with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
All application materials must be submitted with a VCOE application as a complete package. A complete application package must include the following:
- Credential Copy (Please attach a copy of your Moderate/Severe Special Education Credential)
- Letter of Introduction
- Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 letters of recommendation must be dated within the past 12 months**[LETTERS MUST BE DATED]**)
- Resume
