Job Summary

Excel Academy Charter School is a 2023 CA Distinguished School. We are seeking dedicated and adaptable individuals to join our Substitute Teacher Pool for the Virtual Path at EACS. As a substitute teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of education by providing instruction and support to students in a virtual learning environment. This position offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' academic progress and personal development. Virtual teaching experience is highly desired. Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Possess a bachelor's degree in education or a related field. A CA teaching credential or license is preferred but not mandatory. Technological Competence: Proficiency in using virtual learning platforms, video conferencing tools, and educational software. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues in a virtual environment. Flexibility: Flexibility to accommodate assignments of varying durations, including both short and long-term commitments, as well as the ability to accept last-minute substitute teaching opportunities. Ability to adapt to varying virtual teaching environments, grade levels, and subject areas. Organization and Time Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple assignments, tasks, and student records efficiently. Patience and Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to remain calm, patient, and adaptable in a fast-paced virtual classroom environment. Professionalism and Ethics: Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards when interacting with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
