Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Superintendent, the Director of School and Business Partnerships will serve as a liaison between the district, community organizations, foundations, and business partners to bring in resources to support students and teachers in our efforts to deliver quality education in the arts, STEM and enrichment activities. The Director of School and Community Partnerships is responsible for planning, fostering, supporting, and leading community engagement efforts to advance District goals and programs. The Director should possess a thorough understanding of and exhibit proficiency in the following: community engagement, planning, community-based organizations; interpersonal communications; and facilitation and implementation of strategies to assist diverse groups and business partners in achieving our goals related to arts, STEM, and enrichment opportunities for students. This position requires strong interpersonal, oral presentation, written, and verbal skills. Knowledge of business, entertainment, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals and social corporate giving initiatives associated with industry sectors. Requirements / Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE A. Possession of a California clear multiple or single subject teaching credential B. Possession of a California administrative services credential or certificate of eligibility for the administrative services credential. C. Master’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning preferably in education, business, public relations, public administration, law, or a related field is required D. Three or more years of successful teaching experience as a credentialed teacher E. Minimum of three years of working experience as a district administrator or principal F. Five (5) or more years of progressive experience in educational leadership, foundation, entertainment, program coordination experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
